Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 receiving rave reviews from bloggers and music critics as well as from the press. The singer has recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis to promote a Christmas ad by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. The endorsement earned her some recognition. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding a piano hidden in her attic and being captivated by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to learn music as a passion rather than a profession. She began writing her own songs. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork as being her influences. Her mom encouraged her to play her music in front of the public, but not to achieve fame, but rather in order to show others the importance of their work and what they can do for humanity. When she was six She began playing the piano. At age nine, she, started writing songs. Her family didn't be aware until 14. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. She says she just likes creating music. She claims that music is her favorite way of feeling anything.
