Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. She was born in Stavanger on June 15, 1996. Her professional name is Aurora. The name of her can also be stylized in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well reviewed by various music websites. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole - are already two of the most notable covers the singer has created. Katy Perry's endorsement of the song Runaway in a blog post brought the singer additional acknowledgement. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard within her loft and being intrigued by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music, not for an income or as a pastime and as a way to develop. The Aksnes family advised her to compose. Alongside Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother encouraged her to perform her music in front of the public, but not to be famous, but in order to show others that they matter and what they can do for humanity. When she was six she started playing the piano, and when she was nine began writing her own songs. Her family didn't hear about her music until she reached 14. Aurora has never imagined being a famous singer. She claims that she enjoys composing songs. For her, the songs she creates are the way that she feels everything.
