Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 on the 15th of June, 1996 in Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian artist and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the record label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval by music journalists and press. Half the World Away - by Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole - are already two notable covers that the singer has created. Katy Perry's endorsement of her song Runaway in a blog post added to the musician's appreciation. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering the piano in her attic and being captivated by the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to pursue music solely for fun or as a means of development but instead, she should explore it. So she started with her own music. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her most favored songwriters. Her mother had told her the songs she composed were not meant to gain fame for her however, but to encourage people to see the importance of their work and influence in this world, she started singing them in public. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument when she was six. She started creating music after turning nine. Her family didn't have any idea until she was fourteen. Aurora has never imagined being famous. The only thing she loves is writing songs. According to her, she believes that music can help people feel more relaxed.
