Ward was born in MonroeLouisianaon April 15,1976. She attended a private Christian primary school, called Monroe Christian School. Following the completion of her high school studies she transferred to River Oaks High School in the summer before her junior year. There she was part of the drill and dance team. Following her graduation, Ward briefly studied at Northeast Louisiana University. Ward aged 13 started modeling shortly after leaving the school. She moved in New York to pursue this profession. She tried her hand at acting a few years later. In the 70s, Ward played a minor role uncredited on the daytime soap All My Children. Then she landed a short-lived role as NBC's prime time teen-drama Malibu Shores. The soap for daytime Sunset Beach cast Ward as the female Meg Cummings in late 1996. The year 1999 saw her film career began by playing Brittany Foster (the psychotic Brittany Foster) in the romantic thriller The In Crowd. It was a theatrical not a success, but it did have an initial success on cable and on DVD. Ward later played a pivotal supporting role in Shallow Hal, a hit film. Ward has also appeared in numerous other direct-to-DVD movies and made guest appearances on a variety of TV shows, including Friends. In 2009she got the part of Chloe Kmet, the mother to a little girl on the ABC Family drama Make It or Break It. She married David C. Robinson, a producer. They had a child named Cameron.

Sandra Lee has achieved great recognition on social media thanks to her blackhead and pimple popping removal videos. Dr. Pimple-Popper as her the Facebook and Instagram accounts, has been able to attract 13 million followers. Her television show Dr. Pimple Popper, which airs on TLC and has a total of six seasons. In addition, she has her own line of skin care products.
